It's both! And intentionally so. Ahrefs Evolve sits at the intersection of traditional SEO and the emerging world of Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). BrightonSEO and MozCon are broader SEO events with a wide range of session levels. SMX Advanced skews technical. Ahrefs Evolve is built for marketing pros who are past the 'what is AEO' stage and want to know what's actually working. Every session discusses the AI shift and how you can stay ahead.
Zero Click and AEO Conf are invite-only or very niche. Ahrefs Evolve is open to all practitioners and combines the depth of a dedicated AEO event with the broader context of search marketing, giving attendees a full picture of where the industry is heading.

Food & beverage
Quite a bit, actually. Both days include a full lunch and tea/coffee breaks throughout the day. There's also an on-site coffee cart available. On the evening of Day 1, there's a happy hour with hors d'oeuvres. Day 2 closes with a full after-party including a buffet style dinner. All dining events are a chance to connect with speakers and fellow attendees in a more relaxed setting.

Ahrefs Evolve 2026 takes place on October 12–13, 2026 in San Diego, California at the InterContinental San Diego.
There are two options: a Standard Pass (2 days of sessions, workshops, happy hour, and after-party) and an All-Access Pass (everything in Standard, plus session recordings, premium seating, speaker lounge access, and a pre-event private networking reception).
Tickets are released in batches — each release sells out before the next one opens, and prices increase with each batch. The earlier you buy, the better the price. See current pricing and availability.

Ahrefs Evolve is hosted at the InterContinental San Diego (901 Bayfront Ct), and we recommend staying there. Most attendees do. AEO & AI search
